Not so long ago, the reports of Bollywood actors Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha dating started doing the rounds. It was at the Venice Film Festival, where the two were seen walking hand-in-hand, which sparked the rumours even more.
Now, Ali has confirmed the reports to be true to HT saying, “It’s our friendship, which grew over time. It’s so easy for everyone to fit us in a genre and label it love. Love is when we last, so the hope is that we arrive somewhere close to that.”
Ali is recently occupied promoting his Hollywood debut film ‘Victoria and Abdul’ and is in a very happy space of his life. He further said, “I just hope this is the last time I will be disclosing status on my personal life. We don’t want to jeopardise our little friendship. But am happy, I am very happy.”
It was a source who revealed about the first time when Ali and Richa met. Said the source, “They met for the first time in Casablanca on a brand shoot and Ali got in a fight with the authorities about choosing between two models for the shoot at the Rick’s cafe. Richa had come and bailed Ali out of a local jail purely on conversational skills, almost like bargaining. Ali was smitten by her after that incident.”
Even Richa confirmed the reports of Ali being spotted with his girlfriend in L.A last year. She said, “I was the girl in Los Angeles.”
Ali and Richa worked together in ‘Fukrey’ and now will be seen in ‘Fukrey Returns’ which releases on the 8th of December 2017.
